Tuesday

Today I have cleaned the bathroom sink, put away the laundry, and deleted three or four emails. And I did some tapping on money.

I noticed that the shower tile didn't get rinsed off - guess the dirt dried on - so I scrubbed it again while I was showering (efficiency!) and threw buckets at it after. Much better now.

I finished the ironing after trying to steam the skirt. Some steam came out of the iron and I thought "Duh, why don't I use this?" So I added water and starting steaming and spraying cuz the steam alone wasn't enough, and it's finally looking good :) The last item was actually dirty, so I'm not bothering with ironing that.

Did the last of the dishes - just bottles and cans for recycling. Recycled two pieces of paper.

Took that incomplete herbal reference book down to the lobby, along with two duplicate pages from it.

Results: I heard back about some money I've been waiting for - a check is being written today!

Memorial Day

Sunday: Last night I soaked my aching feet in hot water and while doing so scrubbed the shower tile after spraying it with enzymes to reduce mold. This is actually a major job because the grout job in my shower is horrific so the tile is difficult to get clean. Grout falls out and there is always mold - even bleach doesn't work. So I scrubbed it and left it for rinsing in the morning.

Today's declutter: I threw a few buckets of water on the shower tiles to rinse them off after last night's scrubbing. I recycled a (finished) crossword puzzle book and a seed packet. I did a load of laundry. And I ironed all but two items, one of which I forgot was there because it took so long to get only halfway done with the other. I'll be steaming that one tomorrow and THEN ironing it. Oh yeah, I cleaned the catbox too.

Results: I took a big nap this morning/afternoon. It is very hot and I have been missing out on sleep of late so the nap was much needed.

I also got an encouraging response to an email I sent regarding a product I tried to return the other day at the farmers' market. Hoping they will give me a refund. I got another positive email regarding instructions for a program I use at work. And I got a good deal on ice cream at a local bodega when the guy quoted me a lower price than the computer said!

Oh, I have been thinking about it, and am almost convinced that it was NOT mouse stuff I cleaned up in the kitchen. The sheer volume of it made it unlikely - it would take about ten mice or a month or more for that to happen. So it was probably the flowers. I had asters or something with small petals and that's likely what it was. WHEW!

This morning I woke from a really wonderful dream of moving toward what I want, and in the early hours of the day, watching the rain clouds clear and feeling the breeze, I felt the certainty of it. It felt so GOOD! I can't wait!

Abraham-Hicks is doing LIVE broadcasts the next two weekends! That's three in a row and I'm seriously thinking about watching both the next ones. They help me stay in a really positive space which is what makes things work better for me, so I think it would be incredible to attend three weekends running. I'm not sure yet, but will probably do at least one more.

Kitty seems to be putting on weight again, after only a few days on medication. Today was the one-week mark. It could also be because I'm only feeding her canned food now. Found out dry is really not good for cats. Am going to switch her to raw eventually since it seems to be the natural diet. She has eaten the mice she's caught, bones and all. She is still bugging me constantly for food, so her appetite hasn't gone away as the vet thought it might. I've gotta take her back in two weeks to check how the meds are working, but I'm encouraged.

Finally, CRIMINAL INTENT IS BACK! I love that show and it's the final season. Happy to have remembered in time to catch most of tonight's!

Sunday Times Three

Last one for today, I'm pooped! I updated my checkbook, and recycled a letter, a candy tin, and a brochure. I also deleted 10 emails and took 18 plastic bags to recycle at the store. I took out the rest of the recycling on my way to the store.

When I got back I dusted most of the rest of the living room - table, filing cabinet, and coffee table still need it - and swept it completely except under the couch, which I'll get to tomorrow. I saw that my bookcase had considerable empty space and lots of books on top of other books, so I put quite a few away. I pulled out some ancient master copies of sales materials and recycled two pieces of paper and a brochure from that (yep, most of it is still usable!). And I put my Monthly Mentor binders on the bottom shelf after removing a VERY incomplete herbal reference guide that I will probably get rid of.

I did most of the remaining dishes and left the rest to soak, and cleaned the stove thoroughly as it also apparently had some mouse muck. I'm really not 100% convinced it's mouse muck, because I had flowers that were shedding over there for awhile and the leaves were very small and the same shape. Also, my cat has terrorized the mice away. She's caught two in the seven years I've had her. I think mice usually stay away from houses with cats. But, better safe than sorry.

Results: I got a good deal on a bottle brush - it wasn't on sale yesterday but today it is! And I've needed one for awhile. Also - this actually happened yesterday - I found my cat's food at the cheapest price I've ever seen, in MY NEIGHBORHOOD! It was the store near the farmers' market yesterday, but there's one next door to the vet also, so totally close by! It's just a little Mom & Pop store, not a big chain, and they are cheaper than the chains! LOVE THAT!

There were technical difficulties with the Abraham replay, so we are getting extra time to watch them! That's really great!

And I think that's it for tonight :)

Sunday, Take Two

I cleaned the catbox, recycled 10 papers, 18 post-its, three postcards, four envelopes, a brochure, a program, and two pieces of mail with their inserts. Also continued to file, including creating some new files. I've updated my checkbook, swept the cat area, dusted a bunch of CDs, and gone through said CDs to see if I want to sell any at FYE. Found three and maybe five.

Results: Things are starting to look straightened up around here. And my mood is better than it was when I woke up :) I'm also listening to the replay of the Abraham workshop I watched online yesterday, and that's been good.

Sunday!

Oooh, boy, yesterday I wrote a looooong list entitled "If I were organized, this is what I'd get done this weekend," and listed as many chores as I could think of that would result in a clean apartment. My heading sounds kinda negative, since I'm clearly NOT organized, but I viewed it as an opportunity to act as if I'm organized.

So. On Saturday I did one more thing at the end of the day, which was to recycle 10 papers.

Today, I got up to feed the cat and went back to bed cuz I was sooooo tired. But then I thought, I'd better give her her medicine NOW to stay close to the every 12 hours schedule. So I did and then I was awake enough to stay up. I recycled two papers, then goofed off awhile, and then got down to the list. First I found most (I thought all but a couple cropped up later) of the newspapers I had and put them with my puzzle books so I could do the puzzles when I'm relaxing. They made a pile of 6-8" tall! Then I put away the PILES of clothes in my bedroom, which included a bed warmer, clean sheets, and a clean blanket. I planted seeds again since the ones I planted a few weeks ago aren't growing. And I watered the plants.

Took a break to watch The McLaughlin Group. Then I cleaned up the mouse mess - yep, I'm pretty sure that's what it was. I cleaned the bathroom floor - when I declogged the toilet the other day I set newspapers down to have a place to put the plunger, so they had to go and the floor had to be cleaned - and took out the bathroom trash and kitchen trash.

I dusted the painting above the piano, all the stuff on the piano, and the piano down to the keys, along with the piano bench and stuff on that. I put away a pile of music that was sitting on the piano bench, and dusted the case I keep the music in. I am filing now and putting papers in a pile for recycling. More later!

Saturday a Third Time

Did dishes - not all cuz there are too many. Found something that looks suspiciously like mouse droppings on my kitchen counter, so I had to throw away my sponge. Eww. I'm hoping it's plant leaves but I really can't tell until daylight. I also had done a little filing earlier.

I'm making cauliflower-dill soup - finally! I've had this cauliflower awhile, it's a wonder it lasted. I watched a fluff movie and did some puzzles, and now I'm finishing the soup. Tomorrow I'll get down to cleaning house per my list :)

Saturday Continued

I've just recycled 17 papers, 14 post-its, three envelopes, five business cards, five receipts, two coasters, a program, a brochure, and two expired coupons.

Results: Found papers on my cat's microchip! that was on my list of things to do! That's about all I've gotten done from the list today but I'm actually really pleased and surprised that I found it :)

Friday - Saturday

Friday additional: I recycled four papers and a business card.

Saturday: I took out a bag of recycling, and have recycled two pieces of mail (letters, envelope, and all).

Results: Watched another Abraham workshop online today and spent most of the afternoon on chatting with other online viewers. Really got me in a good place!

I found eight cents today! And someone thought I dropped a dollar and gave it to me, but when I said it wasn't me he said give it to God. So I'm going to donate it to the MDA! And I also got an extra quarter back for coffee cuz the guy said it wasn't fresh!

Gonna clean now. I have a long list and a workshop replay to listen to so I'm going for it!

Four Days

Tuesday: I think I recycled a paper bag.

Wednesday: I shredded 10 papers at work. I recycled a couple of paper bags too (they keep breaking!).

Thursday: I shredded 38 papers at work and recycled two or three envelopes.

Friday: Have recycled another paper bag (it was in the closet folded up, just THERE for no reason), a couple of envelopes, and a glass separator from a box.

Somewhere in all of this I did dishes a time or two.

Results: OMG, I found my earring at work! YAY! I missed it last Thursday after going to the bank, and was so bummed cuz it is one of a favorite pair which my mom made me. I just kept hoping that it was in the office somewhere, and after working an hour Tuesday, I remembered to look around. And it was right there on the floor!

Got paid Tuesday and Thursday, and had more hours for next week's paycheck :)

I got charged for a program I meant to cancel, and they graciously canceled it and refunded me when I emailed them. I also just found out that a program I bought last year that was expiring this month is good for almost two more years!

Went to the last yoga class at my old place of work on Wednesday night. I hadn't been back in awhile and it was SO great to see everyone! They are moving to California and will still have classes here but just not at the same address.

The weather has been beautiful - hot, even - and I've been enjoying it.

I met a delightful older gentleman on Wednesday on the train. We had a nice conversation - he's quite interesting and I will be staying in touch with him. It was cute how taken with me he was. :)

Finally, miss kitty cat is on her medicine and I'm hopeful she'll be much better soon. It's been a good week :)

Monday

Today I recycled two envelopes and a paper bag.

Results: My kitty needs to take medicine so I got that today and started her on it. I feel good knowing I'm doing something to help her get healthy. There are possible complications but I'm hopeful that she'll be a happy kitty for a few more years.

I got a call today about working tomorrow afternoon at my Thursday job. I will likely still work on Thursday, though I might just go in Wednesday afternoon instead to save on train fare.

I found an interesting job on craigslist that I should qualify for. It's transcription and they have a test that you submit - you transcribe a document according to their format and guidelines and send it in. I'm done with that but have a question in to them that I hope they'll answer so I can be sure I'm giving them what they want. Other than that I think the grammar and punctuation were good. It's all dialogue so it's somewhat subjective and I don't really know what they will be looking for. But anyway, I put it out there a couple days ago that I'd like a data entry job I can do at home, and this fits the bill, so I'm excited to have attracted this into my world. If it doesn't pan out I'm sure there will be others that suit me.

It's been a good day - even got caught in a sudden downpour and found it delightful! I have that umbrella in my purse now so it's not a big deal to get caught in the rain. What was so fun about it was, it was a few drops of rain and then started falling so much faster that I could barely get the umbrella opened before it really poured! And then it was over in two minutes. Really cheered me - not that I was in a bad mood, but it just lifted me a bit. So anyway, a good day!

Fri/Sat/Sun

I don't remember what I decluttered Friday. Probably recycled an envelope or two. I did listen to quite a few audios to declutter my mind, which helped me stay in a good mood.

On Saturday I made up for Friday by taking two weeks' worth of food scraps to the Greenmarket for composting, along with a bag of old clothes and rags for the textile recycling program! I had been digging through a bag of sewing projects and decided to recycle: A pair of holey knee-his, 2 torn pillow covers (I kept the batting to make into new pillows), a pink flowered shirt with a tear in the seam, a white long-sleeved shirt that was yellowed, a white sleeveless shirt that was also yellowed, five pairs of holey socks, two mismated socks, a pair of black running shorts in which the elastic was rotting, a pair of torn black jeans, a pair of white elastic-waisted shorts (stained), and a white sheer cardigan-style cover-up. I also took some dead plants out and threw them into the vacant lot next door. Later on I paid a couple of bills and recycled a bill insert, and cleaned the catbox.

Today I did dishes and put away the sewing projects that remain.

Results: I took the cat to the vet on Friday - have wanted to do that for awhile just to get her checked out since she has had what I thought were minor problems for years, and then recently started losing weight, which was more of a worry for me. Turns out she has hyperthyroidism that is off the charts, and it almost certainly has affected her heart. So I'm starting her on medication on Monday and will be getting her checked out again in a few weeks to make sure she's doing OK since other problems could arise once the thyroid is under control. I'm SO grateful that I had the money to do this because she appears perfectly happy and healthy apart from the weight loss. Thanks to that loan, my kitty will have a shot at getting healthier again.

I also worked and got paid on Friday, then walked to the health food store to get a discount on coconut water, which I split with my limbo man. He and I had a nice time hanging out and I am feeling the love and still not thinking about the future. He's giving indications of moving toward being on the same page as me, which tells me that focusing on my happiness is definitely the way to go :)

On Saturday I got an impromptu invitation to play cards and eat food with my D&D friends. So I went and it was really fun :) On the way I stopped at a crafts store to look for paints so I could finish my painting and hang it. I was only looking for a few colors, but found a set of 18 in the tiny paint-by-number paint pots that included what I was looking for and a few others that might be useful. I had a 40% off coupon, and it was only $3.99 to begin with, so I felt good about buying it! I really hope the paint is a similar finish to that of those which came with the painting. When the party was over I found out one of the group lives up in my neighborhood, right near where the Greenmarket is! So she gave me a ride home in a cab so I wouldn't have to be on the train for an hour, and she wouldn't let me pay her for it since she would have taken it anyway! That was nice of her :)

Saturday also happened to be a BEAUTIFUL day. I went to a couple of thrift stores looking for a sewing machine since mine isn't working. Also found some places to call regarding repairing it or buying a used one. I went to the library and paid off a fine, and got out a pile of interesting books.

Today has been a very mellow day. It's cloudy and I have been lazy all day, and a little gloomy. I am listening to more audios and am currently eating a big salad to get myself back on the BED after a week of sugaring out. I started a large batch of coconut water kefir, and am excited to try making coconut pudding tomorrow! That will address one of the hardest aspects of the diet, which is the craving for creamy foods like ice cream and chocolate. I think it will be good with stevia. It might be the missing piece to helping keep me on the diet!

Thursday

Today I shredded 107 papers at work.

Results: Had a good work day :) Got paid today, more to come. And got work scheduled for next Tuesday. Things are good!

Mon - Weds

Monday: I think I recycled an envelope or took out some more recycling. Think I did dishes too.

Tuesday: I got a ton of mail and recycled three envelopes and a receipt with no paid amount showing. Kinda wonder why I received that...also recycled a broken grocery bag.

Wednesday: I shredded 62 or 64 papers at work. And I will recyled three papers and two envelopes.

Results: I forgot that I got ahold of a friend over the weekend who I've done some work for and she plans on sending a check soon. Got an email Tuesday regarding work next week, and I'm working for a couple hours on Friday. Today was payday and it was a good one. And with a little luck, I may get paid tomorrow as well :) Oh, yeah, and I finally got a refund from the IRS for a fee they owed me, plus interest!

I'm doing a lot of strategic ignoring of things that haven't been working well for me. It is keeping my mood up, and really, why should I give attention to things that don't work? All that does is bum me out and it doesn't help the problem at all. Why waste time on that?

This all fits in with a great audio a friend posted on Facebook, about staying in a good place when you get there. I listened to it today and yesterday and will go back to it again because it is training me to keep up the positive flow on my own :)

I got some more free coupons in the mail yesterday, and am getting coupons for another product in response to a call I made the company with some questions today! It's amazing how companies want to give you stuff if you give them feedback :)

I feel like I'm ready to start dating. It feels good, like it'll be fun. This is a switch from how it used to feel - like a numbers game I had to go through to find Mr. Right. Now I don't even feel like I'm looking for Mr. Right. I just feel like it will be fun!

Thanks to the loan, I get to take my kitty for a checkup. She's as frisky as ever, but is getting older and has one or two issues, and I just want to get her checked out and make sure she's OK. So glad I can!

Gonna watch season finales of two of my favorite shows tonight, and then head off to dreamland! Think I'll go buy me some chocolate first - goodnight!

Monday, May 16, 2011

Sunday

On Sunday I paid another bill and took out some recycling.

Results: It was rainy Sunday, and I went out for some goodies while it was sort of misting or spitting - barely any rain, in short. It was absolutely gorgeous and felt really good!

Saturday, May 14, 2011

Thurs - Sat

Thursday's declutter: I don't think I decluttered anything Thursday. Forgot to take my shreddables to work all week. Oh wait, I recycled a paper bag that broke - had to tape it up to get my groceries home, but then I recycled it! Also switched my Facebook status to single - from what my bf said that night it was time.

Friday's declutter: I got the loan wire, so I paid five or six bills - some online and on the phone - and recycled I think five envelopes plus inserts.

Saturday's declutter: I changed the cat litter and took it down to the garbage along with one bag of recycling.

Results: I feel full of anticipation for the next adventure in relationship! I'm not at all sad about ending it - he said something that made me realize he was looking for reasons not to move forward with me, looking for obstacles. The upshot is he didn't want me badly enough to do what it would take to keep me. It's OK though, because I know what I want now, and I know I have to be true to that. So I'm taking time each day to think about that and about how much fun it will be :)

Obviously the loan was a very good result :) I feel quite at ease with my money situation now. I have a little to work with and will decide tomorrow how best to use it, whether to apply it to rent or toward paying something off. But the feeling of well-being is the real benefit.

On Friday I got to go to a concert featuring three of my friends from Brooklyn Repertory Opera. They were singing highlights from Tristan und Isolde, and one of them gave me a comp! It was wonderful! There are a couple of places where the music is transcendent, and I WAS transported! Tears rolled down my cheeks and I had to stifle joyous laughter a couple times. Incredible :) A lot of our other opera friends were there, including my neighbor, so she and I took the train home together and had a nice chat.

I also discovered a new and wonderful Abraham-Hicks video, which I listened to yesterday and also today in pieces. It really gives a new point of view to think about. Oh, and yesterday I got a $1 trial pffer for a personal growth program called Quantum Jumping. I hadn't been that interested in trying it after hearing the webinar about it, but for a buck, it's worth checking out! And it's really cool that the abundance vibe is working again - this program was selling for a discount before, but the trial wasn't available until now. AND, almost forgot, the lead-in to the trial offer was a free sample of the program which targeted, yep, abundance! It's the theme this week!

Tonight I'm feeling drained but it's just hormonal. Happens now and then and I'm just taking care of myself with good food and not much activity, and I think an earlyish night. I've got my jammies on and am going to make some herbal tea and watch "Unforgiven," which I've never seen. Should be a nice night!

Wednesday, May 11, 2011

Tuesday/Wednesday

Tuesday's declutter: I recycled three or four envelopes, including one for a bill I paid, and their inserts. Also, I recycled four paper bags, I think on Monday.

Wednesday's declutter: Did some more tapping on abundance - cash flow became a trickle this month so I need to work on it.

Results: I made money yesterday working two jobs. Also was supposed to talk about an upcoming job today, but that didn't happen due to schedule changes. Oh well. That's happening next week - they are busy people!

I DID have a major brainstorm today about where to find some money - family. I haven't borrowed money from family in years, and it never occurred to me till today that I probably could. The tapping worked. Anyway, I thought that before I did that, I would do a balance transfer from my credit card to my checking account, so I could pay the debt payments I have due next week - it's just transferring debt, not new debt so it would have been OK. I had planned to do it to pay off another debt with a high payment so I'd have more cash to work with each month, but figured, do it now instead. But the funniest thing happened. It wouldn't give me the option to transfer into my checking account. When I called, the representatives didn't get that option either. After about two hours on the phone, a supervisor said he'd request an investigation and give me an interest credit for my trouble. That was pretty nice!

So I ended up making the call. And my family was happy to help me. I got off the phone and cried - the Universe always comes through for me. ALWAYS. I have family! As long as I have family I will never have to worry. They will always be there for me in whatever way they can be. I am so blessed to have so many people in my life who love me and won't let me go hungry or be homeless or have to deal with any of the terrors of poverty. I'm finally breaking out of my past of deprivation and asking for - and accepting - what the Universe has to give me, through other people. This is a moment to remember the next time I feel anxiety about money - I always have enough. Somehow, I always have enough! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Monday (and Leftover Sunday)

I did a little filing Sunday VERY late, just before going to bed.

Today I dumped some dead leftovers and immediately changed the trash bag. Took it out on my way to do TWO loads of laundry. I rarely dry my laundry unless I have two loads because two loads of wet laundry is too much to carry and my drying rack won't hold it all. So I dried these for 20 minutes, and what didn't get dry is on the rack now. I thought I was going to wash my rug, but it's apparently not washable, so I have to just vacuum it. Might beat it over my fire escape first, it's pretty dirty.

I also paid a bill and recycled its envelope and four others (one was an insert). Dishes and making soup are next! Oh yes, I also did some tapping on abundance, with an interview that I got a link for today! Good timing :)

Did the dishes and got the soup cooking, and then I swept and mopped the kitchen, took my rug out to the fire escape and beat it over the railing, swept and mopped my room, swept the cat area, and vacuumed the rug. The broom, mop, and dustpan are soaking in soapy water to get clean, and I'm eating soup.

Results: I found a ladybug on my coffeepot! :) I think they are considered good luck in some Asian tradition, maybe feng shui. I just really like them - they are pretty and are good for gardens :)

It's an amazingly beautiful day - sunny and warm, with a breeze, the perfect weather and just the kind that causes a feeling of well-being :)

My soup is good, and it was pretty easy to make - the hardest part is all the chopping of veggies.

Finally, I'm feeling good!

Sunday additional

I recycled another 16 receipts and another paper, and after an hour of racking my brain trying to figure out how $60 disappeared in three days with no record, I realized I'd made an error in a deposit and there WAS NO $60 discrepancy. Whew! Still off by a bit, but not nearly as bad as I thought.

After that I shut down Quicken - was on it for several hours, all afternoon - and deleted 563 emails. I actually watched my gmail kb usage go down :)

Next is filing and that's it for tonight. Just glad I got the cash receipts done and my table cleaned up!

Sunday

Today I have been catching up on entering my income and expenses into Quicken. So far I have recycled 41 receipts and two papers as a result. It's a little annoying because the cash had discrepancies that were impossible (it can't ever be negative, so how come it is at points?), so I had to go back to 2010 to remove some estimated expenses. Trouble is, I would put those estimates in to balance out what I had whenever I reconciled the cash. Two things could have happened here: I might have taken cash out of a deposit (I almost never do that) and not recorded it in the checkbook, or someone gave me cash and I forgot to write it down anywhere.

Oh, well, I'll figure it out when I get caught up.

Fri/Sat Additional

I forgot that the first of Friday's errands was to return bottles and cans at the grocery store! Had a whole bag, and got to return most of them.

Also forgot that I recycled a newspaper on Saturday.

More later!

Saturday, May 7, 2011

Friday/Saturday

Friday's declutter: I did dishes when I got home.

Saturday's declutter: I threw away an old eraser that wouldn't erase anymore. Also took a couple of medicine cabinet items down to the lobby. And I took the food scraps to the farmers' market for the compost. I had TWO bags today, because my birthday flowers were dead and got their own bag! Also cut a few stems off a bouquet of alstromeria I bought that is still looking good, and put them in there. Oh, and I cleaned the catbox thoroughly and put some fresh litter in. Finally, I paid a bill and recycled the envelope and insert.

Results: On Friday after work I had several errands to run and they all fell into place like clockwork. I went to the grocery store, then the bank, then an art supply store where I got a frame backing fixed - FREE! - so I can hang my grandma's artwork finally! and then to a health food store. I found groceries I didn't expect to find, which was great!

Today I stopped by a yard sale on my way home from the farmers' market, and found a really cool photo frame that looks like an Erte illustration in metal. The price was four bucks and I had three, so they took it :)

After lunch I took a nap, and have done very little since then. I was unexpectedly tired, I guess from staying up late all week. Tonight I'm watching "When Harry Met Sally" on PBS, which I will enjoy greatly!

Thursday, May 5, 2011

Mon - Thurs

Holy cow, it's been longer than I thought!

Monday's declutter: I paid a bill and recycled the envelope and inserts.

Tuesday's declutter: I think I did dishes and cleaned the catbox.

Wednesday's declutter: I shredded I think 62 papers at work.

Thursday's declutter: I shredded 91 papers at work, and did dishes when I got home.

Results: I worked two jobs on Monday and got paid both places. Also worked SEVEN hours at my regular job on Wednesday - business is picking up again! And then I worked at a second job after that. I am working a couple more hours there next week as well.

I got to see a movie I'd only seen the end of as a kid, Pit and the Pendulum. For years I wondered what movie it was, and I finally got the answer! It was sooo bad, but so fun!

Got my phones back, and the display on my original phone works again, yay! There was a slight snag for me because they changed the face of the phone and I didn't want that changed. But I called them today and they said if I brought it back they would try to put the old face on again or swap out the one from the second phone. Both faces are cracked so they might not be able to use them, but will if they can. They won't charge me extra for it. I was happy I called, and now am feeling maybe I can live with the new face since it's quite a trek to go out there, and other things could go wrong. I may call again tomorrow to find out specifically if all the parts are integrated with the face, cuz if so it won't be worth it to go back.

I felt really really good on Tuesday. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and I was just happy to be where I am in life. It's good to feel so good! When I went to bed that night I thought that it really doesn't matter if I get the things I want in life - happiness is the only thing that really matters. I have been striving to be happy in order to have a vibration of allowing, when what really makes sense is to strive just to be happy for its own sake. This is something I have heard many times, but I only just GOT it.

Today I woke up in a grumpy mood. I felt the need to be home doing things to beautify my place. But as the day went along and I got absorbed in work, I found my mood lifting. There were some irritations but overall felt much better at the end of the day. I got a lot accomplished at work. Toward the end of the day I was feeling this happiness that my on-hold bf loves me. I don't know how things will turn out for us, but it was nice just to be glad for him and his love.

After work today, I went to the grocery store and got free butter when I let them know that it is frequently rancid! Got it home and so far it tastes really good, not rancid at all this time. :) I had already called the company who makes the butter to let them know of the problem, and they are sending me replacement coupons!

Finally, tonight I went to my gym to ask about a charge that was supposed to have been waived, and they refunded it. Tomorrow is another work day, at a place I really like working, so it will be a fun day, and then I can work on my place over the weekend, get it spiffy so it's a nice place to live.

Sunday Late Edition

Late on Sunday I did some filing, and recycled 28 post-its, two or three envelopes, and a piece of paper. And I did get the dishes done and the laundry put away.

Results: Had a nice time last night with my on hold boyfriend. Amazing how when I decide to focus on what I want and notice the good in my life, I get more of that!

Friday - Sunday

Friday's Declutter: I did laundry and while doing it ran a bunch of errands - went to get my statement date changed at the bank, bought a bagel with lox spread, bought myself a new purse at Loehmann's - it has its own umbrella! - to take advantage of their 15% birthday month discount, and bought some ice cream. I cut pieces off of eight old credit/ID cards and threw them away. I think I recycled an envelope as well. And I cleaned the catbox.

Saturday's Declutter: I did dishes and I think recycled a couple of envelopes, unless that was Friday. Also recycled a tea box. Oh yeah, and I took the food scraps to the farmers' market for the composting program. I put some old veggies in the scraps for next week's compost. I returned a library book and took out the garbage on my way out. Finally, I scraped wax leavings from a bunch of used candles so I can recycle the metal.

Sunday: I put a new water filter in my pitcher. Put away most of the laundry and will finish that later. Paid three bills and recycled the envelopes and inserts. Also recycled 15 plastic bags at the store. Cleaned the catbox and plan to do dishes later.

Results: All the decadent food on Friday was because I realized that I hadn't been strictly on the diet and in fact had even inadvertently had sugar at lunch with my friend on Tuesday. I just found that out for sure today, but in any event I went off the diet for Friday and restarted on Saturday, and this time I'm not going to eat anything that's not strictly on it!

I participated in a GREAT live workshop Saturday morning from Abraham-Hicks. The workshop was in Texas and people from all over the world watched on the internet. There was a live chat too. It was SO FUN! And I got answers to my questions in the first hour from one of the Texas participants whose question was about the same relationship situation I'm in! I was awed by the synchronicity going on.

The weather has been beautiful and today I got out and enjoyed it - the birds tweeting away and the quiet of the neighborhood were so lovely I just stopped and soaked it up on my way home from the store. Found four pennies there and back too, which had me laughing in delight!

Finally, I just got friended on Facebook by someone I was thinking about a week or so ago, who I only met once and didn't stay in touch with. Quite a surprise!
