Fri/Sat

Friday's declutter: I deleted four emails, and also eight more that I had moved to spam to teach gmail that I don't want to get emails from this place. I also froze a ton of chicken (OK, about three pounds, but it felt like a ton!) that I got on sale.

Saturday's declutter: I cleaned the toilet and catbox (two for one!), did the dishes, dumped some very old leftovers and took out the trash immediately, and washed one of the leftover containers so I could use it for lettuce for salads. Later I washed and tore lettuce and put it in the container :)

Results: I may be starting another job soon. Have to look at their books and tell them how much time it will take. I'm back on the BED and surprisingly free of sugar cravings. Have taken a few naps. And I got a check in the mail this afternoon that I was expecting :) Finally, I was on another good workshop today, lots of fun chatting with my friends after - even Antarctica got in on this workshop! One of the guys who lives down there with the scientists chatted with us for awhile! It was cool. And that's it!

Thursday

On Thursday I put 13 rags in the textile recycling bag, deleted 10 emails, and shredded 55 papers.

Results: Got paid today, and have a check to deposit next week :) And after three months of only one tenant paying rent (because the other prepaid and I used it up on bills), I get the full nut in August! Woohoo!

I decided to go back on my candida diet. I'm tired of feeling lousy. So with the possible exception of tomorrow morning, I'm off sugar starting now!

Sun - Weds

Well, after Saturday's party I did zip on Sunday. Deleted two emails and took a lot of naps cuz it was soooo hot!

I haven't done much this week really. Deleted 10 emails Monday, one on Tuesday, and four today. I also recycled 10 plastic bags on Monday, and an outdated price list, and recycled three envelopes on Tuesday and one today. I did laundry on Monday and just put it away tonight, and I did dishes tonight.

I've also been doing more tapping - lots of resistance and frustration coming up lately so I'm tapping on that. And I'm stepping up my candida diet efforts - at least two meals a day now.

Results: I'm making more money this week than I expected. And I found 10¢ total today!

I was feeling kind of crappy today, but I think it's just detoxing since I'm eating better again. Hope so.

Oh yeah! I got really great b'day presents from everyone. Fun things like a pretty scarf and beautiful earrings. I like getting stuff I can wear :)

Work today was great all around. And my mood improved after tapping and also crying a little (sometimes crying relieves it all by itself). It got so good that I started to feel really positive about what is possible for me - to the point of belief. That's really good.

OH YEAH! I had an incredible dream the other night and as a result emailed an old friend who I recently got back in touch with through - of course - Facebook. I had his number all along but he hadn't returned my calls the last couple times. Anyway, we talked on Sunday night and it was so great. He'd been through the wringer the last few years so hadn't really had the will to call me back. I can understand that. I found out that he and I are basically on the same page with regard to personal growth, which was immensely surprising and satisfying! He's someone I've always felt I could be myself with.

Anyway, talking with him was great, and the added bonus was, he informed me that eBay had changed their policy about listing fees. So I went to check it out, and sure enough, it's now free to list auctions! So now I can list the stuff I want to sell without having to worry about paying fees for nothin'! I intend to start doing that this weekend, unless other important things take precedence, such as meeting the parents :)

Speaking of which, my guy and I had a nice evening yesterday, hanging out listening to music and generally being goofy together. Fun! Also he took his camp chair back home with him so that's another declutter, haha.

I think that's it for this update. Goodnight!

Saturday

Today I cleaned. I don't know what got into me, I just had cleaning energy all of a sudden. Before I cleaned I did other stuff. I cut up a lot of veggies that I bought at the farmers' market this morning, so they'd ready for cooking and salads without my having to put a lot of time in when I'm tired after work. Then I did stuff like clean the catbox and delete emails (did 24), and wrap presents for a group birthday party tonight (I'm one of the birthday people, so I'll be bringing gifties home too!). I got kinda creative with my wrappings - it was fun!

I goofed around a bit too. But then I saw a bunch of dust bunnies and thought, ugh, I've GOT to sweep! So I started with the kitchen, so I could finally put everything back in there. I swept the bathroom too, I think - might have done it before the catbox, actually. Then I grabbed the pail and a scrubber, and scrubbed the hell out of the kitchen floor with water and baking soda. Got the mop out to spread that around and pick up the excess water. Then I swept the living room and entry. When the kitchen floor was dry I swept it again, because there's always crap left behind. And then I cleaned the hell out of the kitchen table - legs and everything - and put it in the kitchen. Finally, I cleaned the seat and back of the remaining chair and put it in the kitchen. I had to reclean the chair that was in there too. I switched the positions of the table and cabinet, so the table is now across from the stove. We'll see how that goes. There are a couple of things left to wash and some cooking magazines to put away, but basically, it's DONE!!

I did some tapping on resistance today, and some yesterday too, in different areas. And I'm thinking that it spilled over into the resistance over finishing the kitchen cleaning, because the energy was there all of a sudden, after I did this tapping today.

Results: My living room is livable again :) I feel great that I got this done.

I also received the check I was expecting for my remote work. I like working from home. Hoping I can do more of that.

Life is good!

Friday

On Friday I deleted 17 emails and recycled four envelopes. I also did the dishes and did some more scrubbing on my Pyrex baking dish. I'll get the baked-on stuff off a little bit at a time.

Results: Got another transcription job! And I'll hopefully get another over the weekend, as they asked about availability. This one was easier - there was a lot of dead air, which obviously can go at real time speed. I guess I could have fast forwarded that.

I also got the herbs that I ordered on Wednesday. Fastest ever! I needed them very badly so that made me extremely happy. And that's it!

Wed/Thurs

Wednesday's Declutter: I shredded 34 papers. Also did some EFT - that may have been Tuesday night, actually. But I think I did more Weds. morning.

Thursday's Declutter: I deleted 8 emails and shredded 78 papers! Another folder emptied. Also paid a bill and recycled the envelope. And I recycled another envelope after opening my mail.

I've also been doing mental declutters. Weds. morning I saw a great quote on a Facebook friend's page. It was about being the writer of my script and everyone else playing the parts I've assigned. Blew my mind, cuz I realized: I can rewrite or reassign the parts any time I want! So I started with my part! I started thinking about who I want most to be, what qualities are important to me to have. And I started thinking about the main characters in my life and how I would like them to be written. It was really fun to think about life this way! I'm going to continue to do so. I've also been practicing changing my focus to what I want when I notice something that I don't want. That takes a lot of practice :)

Results: I'm finding change all over the place lately! Today it was 21 cents! I thought about finding a dime, and later on, I found one. Then for fun, I thought about finding a penny. Found one a few minutes later. Then I found another dime!

It's not unusual for me to find a penny almost daily. But there are some times when I go into high gear with the money magnet stuff and am finding multiple pennies, and nickels and dimes an quarters. I guess it's one of those times :)

Yesterday I had another transcription assignment. My payday next week is going to be awesome at this rate :) I thought it was going to go fast cuz the first few minutes were very clear, but it still took me longer than I hoped. I am going to have to really look at the hot keys in Word and see what I can do with them. I'm transcribing a lot of medical terminology, and although I don't have a problem spelling that stuff, it slows me down cuz I'm thinking about it. But I'm still improving, so that's good.

I got a call today from the prospective employer I heard from last week. Have another person to talk to before I get started there, but it's looking good.

I went to use a credit at an art store today that was going to expire in a week, and I bought one item, thinking I'd come back next week to use the rest of the credit. But since there was only a couple dollars left, they gave me the change in cash! Hooray!

Oh, yeah! My friends are hosting a mass birthday party for all of us whose birthdays fell in the last four months, and this morning before work I made a stop to get one of the birthday gifts, and was very pleased to find what I wanted at an extremely reasonable price! Hooray, again!

Tuesday

Today's Declutter: I shredded 29 papers at work. I also paid two bills and recycled an envelope and inserts. And I deleted 16 emails.

Results: OMG, yesterday was such a good day! I just felt so good all day, and toward late afternoon, I got another transcription job! It didn't take me as long this time, and this morning I went through it again and got most of what I missed. It is so exciting to be able to make a little more money from home :)

Then today I worked and there was much more to do than I had expected, so I made more money. It's good timing - there are groceries to be bought this week, as well as birthday presents for a gang birthday party, about six of us! I'm one of the six, and I've already bought one present, so that leaves four to take care of.

After work I took a long walk to the store where I buy coconut water, because I need to make more of it. It's really good for the thyroid and mine needs it! It was a beautiful walk - it's super hot this week but today was less humid and I really didn't feel it that badly. Walked on the shady side of the street most of the way. But the things I saw were just wonderful - rooftop gardens, buildings and streets I'd never walked by before - it was really cool. I kinda had a meltdown when I got home, but oh, well, these things happen.

Right now it's a bit after sunset and the sky is this odd blue - looks like a rainstorm blue - with white clouds. It's so pretty, and so surprising because it's 8:45 and I can still see some daylight! Anyway, I think it's time for some veggies and then maybe an early night - I have had a headache all day and sleep usually helps. Goodnight!

Monday, Take Two

Since today's first post, I've put my crystal serving tray, more cookbooks (which I cleaned off thoroughly first), and a recipe box in the doorless cabinet. I've also deleted 67 more emails - really old ones. And I took a bunch of soap fragments and heated them up enough to make them into a usable bar of soap.

Also, while out running errands, I realized that something that was bothering me was a tappable issue, so I did a little EFT on it walking down the street and got it down to where it was less bothersome. Not completely gone, but less :)

Results: I haven't heard a thing about that rush job I did, so I'm assuming it all worked out! I think they would tell me if it was so bad they couldn't pay me for it. Yay!

Monday Morning

What a morning! PMS must be done, because my energy is much, much better today!

Saturday additional: I forgot that I moved my computer tower from the table, where it was lying flat, to a chair where it is upright, so that I could more comfortably type. The keyboard had been either on top of the computer or on the edge of the table, with no support for my wrists/arms. I typed non-stop Saturday with no pain :)

Sunday additional: After last night's post I put away some clothes and also chopped up veggies for future cooking. Oh, I also cleaned and put away the few remaining spice jars :)

Today: So far I have deleted four emails, cleaned up cat barf and the litter box and surrounding area, and put the second shelf back in that kitchen cabinet! It is still apparently a home to roaches, so I may have to chuck it completely, but I'm gonna give it a try. I put three of my cookbooks on that shelf, and will move the others over in a bit. Also filed a couple of bills, recycled an envelope, and ran errands (bank, mail bills, make payment arrangements, buy cat food). Oh, yeah, and I hit my sink with baking soda and vinegar to clear the slow drain. Dishes are next!

Another Week Blows By

I don't remember most of my decluttering this week. I'm not sure I DID anything before Thursday. Let's see...OK.

Sometime this week I think I deleted 37 emails. Could have been last week though.

Monday or Tuesday: I recycled the box my cat's medicine came in. I deleted seven emails on Tuesday also.

Wednesday: I deleted either nine or 15 emails.

Sometime before Friday: I recycled a container lid. I also put my thermos away in the cabinet with all the go-cups.

Thursday: Did a lot of VERY DIRTY dishes.

Friday: I cleaned the remaining shelf supports for the now-doorless cabinet so I could put up the second shelf. I think I also put them in the cabinet later. I also deleted 16 emails.

Saturday: I took food scraps and dead flowers to the compost pile at the farmers' market. I paid three bills and recycled the envelopes and inserts. Also recycled a fourth envelope, and the food container I used to wash those roachy shelf supports. I deleted 14 emails. And I washed all the stray cat food cans along with a few dishes, and sprayed the kitchen floor and wiped up the cat food spills.

Sunday: I deleted three emails, paid two more bills, filed a pile of bills, paystubs, statements, and letters, and recycled nine envelopes (three with inserts), five papers, 11 post-its, a menu, and a brochure.

Results: It's been an up-and-down week. Still struggling to get the kitchen stuff done, though yesterday I made a little progress. But work is coming in! I had another transcription job assigned to me Wednesday, and I got a couple of referrals for bookkeeping jobs Wednesday also. Spoke with one of them and he sounded like someone I'd like working for. It will be minimal work each week but every extra hour helps and I'll be able to fit it in to my existing work days.

On Saturday I got a rush transcription job, and that was exciting! Unfortunately I bit off more than I could chew and didn't do the job well. I continued working on it after the deadline and sent them my revised copy in anticipation of being told what I'd sent wasn't acceptable. I haven't heard anything yet and am hoping that means they needed it that night so they could get it out Monday morning, and thus would have time to look at the revised copy. I imagine I'll find out tomorrow.

I also got paid on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday :) Lots of money came in, just in time for the bills.

Took the cat to be weighed and she is gaining, though more slowly.

I stopped by my man's place after work one day and got surprised with a nice massage! That was awesome. And I had fun all day Friday, first at my soap's 43rd birthday fan party, and then hanging out with an old college friend who was in town! The weather was perfect and it was a great day!

Finally, today I was in a PMS mood, and then I got an email from a friend asking what was going on that I was so out of sorts lately. So I got to vent about the clutter stuff, and pretty soon I was feeling better enough to do that filing I mentioned, and now I'm feeling really good again. So nice to have thoughtful friends :) And that's my week in review!

Sunday

Sunday's Declutter: I deleted 22 emails, did dishes, and recycled a piece of paper and a receipt.

Oh, I forgot, I recycled 22 post-its on Saturday. Look, two 22s :)

Results: Oh, I forgot about this yesterday - this is great - in recycling the post-its, which are my record of days and time worked at various jobs, I discovered that I had failed to bill for three hours last month! This could not have come at a better time - well, except last month of course, HAHA! But really, it's needed right now.

So that's money I'm gonna get this week because I decluttered! That's a pretty direct result!

Saturday

Saturday's Declutter: I think I recycled an envelope or two from auto-paid bills that I forgot to file. And I took my compost scraps to the farmers' market.

Results: I did another workshop Saturday, and the global chat made me feel so good! I was interrupted twice. First, I finally heard from my guy! He had had some major difficulties this week and felt so angry about it that he felt he would just yell at me if we talked, so that's why he didn't call sooner. I did tell him he can always yell on the phone to me about stuff as long as it's not me he's angry with!

I don't know yet where this leaves meeting the folks. Next weekend might not be possible for him. It has occurred to me that we're both so scared of the commitment that's implicit in this step that we manifested a big obstacle. More and more I see that conflicting desires bring about conflict in one's life.

Then my landlord finally brought the new lease. That was a strange meeting. He basically said he'd give me a good deal if I would never complain about the heat again! What's strange about this is I barely complained about it last year at all. He decided to talk to me about it two years after the time when I was calling him and the city every week. He explained that he basically thinks I'm nuts and ignores me, and I said if he had ever called me back or told me any of this I would not complained as much. But he didn't hear me. Doesn't matter, the situation isn't bad anymore anyway, it's just totally weird that he's griping about it long after the fact. He claims it's just the aggravation that he is trying to avoid, but I think the city must have hit him hard if he's this desperate to stop the complaints. Anyway, I got a good deal out of it, a tiny increase till next year.

Now I just have to focus on what I really want, which is to buy this building from him and fix it up!

Things are looking up - there WAS work available yesterday but I missed it by 20 minutes. So now I sort of know when to be watching my email for rush jobs and will make sure to schedule my time for days I'm free, since I'm not seeing much I can do after work. I'll be seeing an old college friend this week, which will be so fun! And I did some remote bookkeeping work today. Now I'm going to listen to the workshop replay and hear what I missed before!

Tues - Fri

This has been a CRAZY week! I had Monday free but have worked every day since, AND I started doing transcription from home on Tuesday as well. That took a very long time but I think I have figured out why and what to do about it going forward.

As for decluttering, I can't recall if I did anything other than another pile of dishes on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. However, I did pay some bills on Wednesday, and recycled the envelopes and inserts on Thursday. I also paid a bill today, Friday, and recycled the envelope. And I recycled another envelope and a piece of mail today too.

Finally, I shredded 86 papers on Thursday and 44 today.

Results: Man. On the one hand, work is coming in and that's good because my cash needs flow :) On the other hand, I haven't heard from my man in four days despite leaving several messages and an email basically asking if he was dead. He was supposed to take me upstate to meet the folks this weekend or next, and on Monday I asked him to let me know ASAP which it would be so I could schedule my life around it. So I've gone from frustration with the lack of consideration for my time to worry that something really bad has happened.

So today I decided it was probably just him freaking out about the commitment inherent in this, and I was gonna go about my life, schedule my time for transcription, get someone lined up to take care of the cat in the event he calls at the last minute, and be happy regardless of what he's doing. That took care of any lingering frustration. I looked up obituaries and no one in his family was listed, so hopefully there is nothing badly wrong.

Meanwhile, many rush transcription job emails came this week, but I was working on the days they came! I really hope to get work from them on the weekend or on Monday since I'd like to make a little more money on the 15th. On the other hand, I really want to meet the folks too! We'll see what the weekend brings :)

4th of July

Today's Declutter: I continued with the dishes, putting the clean ones away and scrubbing the ground-in grunge off another load. There are only a few left and then the table goes back in there and I'm done! I also paid two bills and recycled the envelopes and inserts. And I am taking out the garbage and returning a library book in awhile.

Results: Happy Independence Day! Today I'm feeling the anticipation that comes with watching what I want come into being step by step. It's a marvelous feeling to focus on what I want, and watch as my life moves toward it through various small events that combine to create a pattern of momentum. It feels so good!

I did some remote work today and will get paid sometime next week for it :)

Spent some time listening to the replay of yesterday's workshop. Because of technical difficulties we are once again getting extra time! I had a glitchy livestream yesterday so it was like seeing it for the first time today. Got so many insights and am blown away by the way these workshops build from beginning to end. Really cool.

Kitty appears to be gaining more weight, which is great! She's feeling less bony and more sleek and that makes me happy. And she wants to be fed right now, so that's all for today!

More Saturday, and Sunday

Saturday Additional: I washed out a ton of plant pots so I could put them away in the kitchen. Also will be getting rid of a bunch.

Sunday: Put away the pots and spade and put aside eight plastic pots to give away. Put away most of the dishes from yesterday - some still felt sticky so they got put aside to wash again. I also put aside some fertilizer and Miracle Gro - think I'll give them to my neighbor. I put a pair of nubbly gloves in one of my tool drawers as I never use them for my container gardening. And I emptied both garbage cans and did dishes. I'm seeing the light at the end of the kitchen cleaning tunnel :)

Results: Wonderful workshop and online chat today! I got such great insights, and questions I didn't know I had were addressed. Love that about Abraham.

I spent a few hours with my guy, which was great. He was heading back upstate for 4th of July - said he might come back early to see fireworks with me, and if he does come back early it would be romantic to see them with him, but otherwise I have seen fireworks before. They were exciting when I was a kid, and I still find them very beautiful, but I don't need to see them every year.

That's all for today!

Saturday, July 2, 2011

Saturday

Today's Declutter: I put away another go-cup and deleted 87 emails. Also put a shelf back in the now-doorless cabinet and chopped up a bunch of onions so I don't have to do it when I'm trying to get out the door in the morning or am tired at night.

Finally, I planted the pepper that my neighbor gave me. I hope it survives - I let it go without water for a few days and it looks pretty bad. I've been watering it since but am not sure it will make it. I feel bad about that, hope I don't have to tell my friend I killed it!

Next I'll be washing dishes so I can get this living room cleaned up. And, I almost forgot, I took a week's worth of food scraps to the composting table at the farmers' market :)

Results: One of my oldest friends hooked me up on Facebook with another of my oldest friends! So excited to be back in touch with him.

Oh, I forgot - my bf said yesterday that he might come back early for 4th of July so we could see the fireworks together :) I already have tentative plans with another friend, but said we could all go. We'll see what happens.

Had a wonderful piano practice today - I am really getting proficient with Bach and today I dug out the one Chopin Nocturne I have any skill with and played it too. I realized this is not easy music and I have it just about memorized. But I'm actually READING the Bach, something I've never been good at. If I can improve my sight-reading that would be amazing!

Thurs - Fri

Thursday's Declutter: I don't remember what I did Thursday. Might have done dishes or recycled an envelope or two. I did get rid of my bad mood after talking with my guy. I was at work all day and did get a lot of old filing done, which made my workplace feel much better. I like being organized, I'm just not good about getting there.

I might have put my coffee go-cup in its new home Thursday. I also deleted 13 emails at some point in the week.

Friday's Declutter: I finally remembered to take a bunch of refrigerator magnets and a fridge whiteboard down to the lobby. I also did a couple loads of laundry. And I deleted 13 more emails (not the same ones!).

Results: Oh man! I got the email Thursday for the transcription work! So I faxed it all in that night. On Friday they sent me the confirmation of receipt and the link to the scheduler, so as soon as I put in my availability I'll start getting work! I'm a little stumped about how much time to put in and when. They require a minimum of four hours of audio transcribed per week, and that translates into about 16 hours. That means not much free time until I get faster, so I have to really think about when I can do it - hopefully they'll accept weekend availability.

I'm really excited that I got this work, though - it means more money to put toward debt, savings, and fun! Maybe I can even hire a maid and a professional declutterer to help me get to the bottom of the mess!

I also spent the day with my man yesterday - took the laundry to his place. We had a fun time chasing a wild hare he had about making pizza. It was pretty funny because he had none of the ingredients for pizza dough and no pizza pan! We spent all afternoon getting the stuff needed to make pizza - and I had taken one look at the recipe when he first mentioned it and said it would take too long. I was thinking it would take too long for me to get home by 2:00 so I could get some errands done. I never DREAMED it would be 5:00 before I got home AND I wouldn't get any of the pizza! But it was fun to shop and to help him make the dough (I've done a lot of baking in my time), and he told me later it came out great.

Anyway, things seem to be shifting in a positive direction. I'm happy to see it and happy to think about what's next. Today, what's next is more work on the kitchen cleanup!
