I Don't Think I've Ever Gone This Long...

Two weeks since the hurricane, and I have been so busy! Recreating my declutters will not be easy - I'll have to lump them together.

I recycled 11 post-its and nine notes. I shredded in the neighborhood of 120 pages, finishing off a folder of shreddables. And I deleted in the neighborhood of 157 emails. I've kept up with the catbox and swished the toilet, and did laundry on Labor Day. And the past two or three days I've been catching up on Quicken input. I've paid six or seven bills and recycled the envelopes, and have recycled a few other envelopes from statements that needed to be filed. Finally, I've done some filing, I've done LOTS AND LOTS of EFT, and I balanced my checkbook today.

Results: Work, work, work! It's been non-stop for two weeks. Last week it was a transcription job every other day, and this week it was work every single day. I had an unexpected couple of hours free on Thursday afternoon, and used it to do some work on my real estate investing tasks. I had a lot of anxiety over that and spent an hour or more tapping about it.

I'm also on a streak for finding change on the street. Seems like all I have to do is wonder where I'll find a penny today, or whether it will be a dime, and in a couple minutes there's my penny - or two, or three! I've found money every day for I think 12 days now. I'm doing the Harv Eker 90-day program for after his Millionaire Mind Intensive, and I found myself acknowledging today that my increase in attracting change will eventually become an increase in larger amounts as well. It's happening incrementally, but I'm not discounting the pennies and dimes. They are the beginning and when the big bucks start coming in it'll be a torrent. :) I've already had a couple of instances of this - got a coupon in the mail the other day for 20% off at Staples, which is good timing as I need to buy ink, and the funny thing is I was thinking "Maybe there'll be money in the mail today." So I thought, yeah, there was! The second instance was a large purchase needed for one of my rental units, with me wondering how to pay for it, and my tenant agreed to buy it and pay no rent next month.

Just more evidence for me that the universe always provides money when I need it - one way or another.

The constant work has been a drain on my energy, but since I do need to make money right now I'm very happy to have it. I still haven't figured out how to balance my life when I'm working a lot. Hopefully as I continue with feng shui (going to do a bit of cleanup tomorrow) this will change.

I've had some nice times with my sweetie, and today I had a good time going to see a friend sing at a festival on the river a few train stops away. It was a lovely day, perfect for an outdoor concert, and the music was great! We hung out for a while afterward too - oh, and I won a prize at a booth right before the concert started! It was just the mini-vacation I needed today - and part of my 90-day program is to spend some money on myself every month, just doing something fun. I decided to use the money I have in my change jar this month, and start putting my change in it each day going forward.

So that's the update. A little chaotic but overall good. I'll be better about keeping up on my posts going forward.
